EDC Handle Design Concept
I designed the "EDC" handle shape based on the fact that I rarely hold a knife in the hammer or saber grip when approaching most daily cutting chores. Instead, I usually find myself pinching the knife near or just in front of the ricasso between my thumb and index finger.

For detail work using the tip, I run my index finger along the spine.

The idea is for the rounded and downward-sweeping handle to follow the curve of the palm and provide a large amount of surface area to torque against for some serious cutting power.
